Compensation: $125,000 – $155,000 base salary + commission

Position Summary
The Sales Executive serves as a key market-facing representative for Western Health Advantage, building and strengthening relationships with insurance brokers, employer groups, and community partners across the North Bay region.
This role is responsible for driving new business opportunities, supporting retention strategies, and delivering strategic sales initiatives within employer group accounts. The Sales Executive presents and educates stakeholders on plan offerings, ensures successful onboarding and renewals, and addresses concerns related to contracts, rates, and benefits.
What You’ll Do
Sales & Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong, professional relationships with assigned broker partners
- Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective and existing employer groups
- Conduct sales meetings and presentations aligned with established strategies
- Promote Western Health Advantage products, services, and value proposition
Business Development & Strategy
- Identify and research target employer groups within the assigned market
- Develop and present customized proposals, including strategic and analytical components
- Negotiate and execute sales strategies to drive membership growth
- Monitor competitive trends and provide market intelligence to leadership
Account Management & Retention
- Lead onboarding and implementation for new employer groups
- Manage renewal negotiations, including retention and growth strategies
- Coordinate open enrollment activities and support employer/broker needs
- Address and resolve escalated issues in collaboration with internal teams
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with Sales leadership on large group account strategy and performance
- Serve as liaison between Western Health Advantage and regional medical group partners
- Educate brokers and their teams on plans, processes, and market positioning
- Provide regular reporting on sales activities, projections, and enrollment trends
Community Engagement
- Represent Western Health Advantage at industry, civic, and business events
- Build relationships with community and industry leaders
- Promote a positive and professional brand presence in the market
What You Bring

- Strong consultative sales and negotiation skills
- Experience navigating complex benefit plans and sales cycles
- Confidence presenting to brokers, employers, and large groups
- A proactive, strategic mindset with strong market awareness
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred
- 5+ years of experience in sales, health insurance, employee benefits, or related field
- Active California Life Agent License (Life-Only Agent and Accident and Health Agent) is required prior to employment and must be maintained.
