As a Facets System Administrator at Western Health Advantage, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining, enhancing, and optimizing our core operating system. You’ll lead upgrades, solve complex system challenges, and collaborate across the organization to ensure Facets runs smoothly, accurately, and efficiently.
What You’ll Do
System Administration and Optimization
- Manage and maintain the Facets core operating system to ensure performance, stability, and data integrity
- Lead system upgrades, enhancements, and ongoing improvements
- Configure and support key functionalities, including eligibility (270/271) and benefit-related data
Project Leadership and Implementation
- Lead and support cross-functional projects impacting Facets
- Coordinate system enhancements, work orders, and vendor deliverables
- Play a key role in annual initiatives such as Open Enrollment and system upgrades
Support, Troubleshooting, and Training
- Serve as the primary point of contact for system support, security, and issue resolution
- Troubleshoot system issues, manage tickets, and identify root causes
- Develop and deliver training materials to improve user adoption and self-sufficiency
Vendor and Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with vendors (e.g., Cognizant) on system performance, testing, and issue resolution
- Collaborate with IT and internal departments on system changes and impacts
- Represent WHA in user groups and external system discussions
Testing, Compliance, and Operational Support
- Coordinate and execute testing for system updates and benefit changes
- Ensure accurate loading and validation of benefit configuration data
- Support internal requests and maintain member-facing platforms and materials
What You Bring
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- 3–5 years of experience supporting healthcare payer systems, preferably Facets
Technical & Industry Knowledge
- Strong understanding of health plan operations (benefits, claims, eligibility)
- Experience with system upgrades, enhancements, and vendor coordination
Tools & Skills
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities
- Ability to translate technical concepts into user-friendly training
- Experience managing system tickets, requests, and cross-functional priorities

- Ability to lead projects and manage competing priorities
