Transform Data Into Insight That Drives Better Decisions
Western Health Advantage is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to design, develop, and support the data extracts, data marts, and reporting solutions that enable informed business decision-making. In this role, you will leverage Informatica PowerCenter and SQL to translate complex business needs into reliable, high-quality data solutions while partnering closely with internal stakeholders across the organization.
This position is ideal for a data-driven professional who enjoys solving analytical problems, ensuring data integrity, and helping business partners better understand and use information.

What You’ll Do
As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will support the full lifecycle of BI development—from requirements analysis through implementation, documentation, and ongoing support. Key responsibilities include:
  • Programming, mapping, testing, and maintaining Business Intelligence data extracts and data marts using Informatica PowerCenter
  • Performing analysis to understand business problems, data needs, and new requirements
  • Validating business requirements with appropriate stakeholders to ensure accuracy and alignment
  • Assisting internal customers in understanding BI extracts, data marts, and reporting solutions
  • Promoting information technology knowledge to increase internal customer independence and effective data use
  • Participating in data quality initiatives to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data populated in BI data marts
  • Estimating development and enhancement timelines and delivering work within targeted timeframes
  • Taking ownership of assigned problems and projects through successful completion
  • Creating and maintaining clear documentation for new or modified procedures, processes, and solutions
  • Staying current on regulatory requirements, emerging technologies, and new BI techniques
  • Communicating project status, risks, and progress to leadership, team members, and internal customers
  • Participating actively in meetings, contributing ideas, and sharing information effectively
  • Supporting special projects and performing additional duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a technically strong BI professional with solid ETL experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications
  • 3 years of experience with Informatica PowerCenter programming and SQL
  • Ability to work with complex computer operations, including intermediate programming in 3rd and 4th generation languages, relational databases, and operating systems
  • Proficiency with advanced features of common software tools, including word processing, spreadsheets, and graphics
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
  • 3 years of experience in Business Intelligence development and design
  • Experience with IBM Cognos or similar data visualization tools
  • Knowledge of healthcare business systems, including coding, encounter data, and regulatory management
  • Prior experience working in the healthcare industry, particularly within an HMO environment
